Frequently Asked Questions PDF Print E-mail
1. Am I a Potential Client of Loewen & Partners?

Loewen & Partners focuses on companies seeking funding in the $5M to $30M range. Even if you are not profitable at the present time, we may be able to find investors interested in your business.

2. How is Loewen & Partners different?

Loewen & Partners' team brings years of investment and business strategy experience. We advise owners and CEOs of growth companies on how to get financing to fit their goals – whether these are to develop, scale, exit, get more intellect at the Board level or just learn about clever ways to structure their finance. Our unique experience allows us to work closely with Owners to actively facilitate the company-building process. This hands on focus, combined with expertise in Private Equity Funding, has allowed Loewen & Partners to develop a proven and repeatable approach to financing.

3. What are the Fees?

Loewen & Partners fees are payable upon successful completion of the transactions for which we are engaged. Modest work fees are charged during the engagement process as we find this keeps everyone committed to the work plan. Also, we take part of our fees in the form of warrants which become viable only on the long-term success of your business. This requires a strong belief in the sustainable growth of our clients' businesses.

4. How does Loewen & Partners evaluate a potential client?

Many of our clients have been surprised and reassured to discover that their company has hidden value. At Loewen & Partners, we spend time with the CEO of the company and assess the financial needs. If the CEO wishes to grow the business, we assess the long term potential of the business. If the CEO wants to exit the business, we can source talent and financing. Loewen & Partners will then decide if we can help the company and will sign a letter of engagement. The absolute requirement for us to agree to an engagement is the opportunity to look over the financial records. Many CEOs find this painful and embarrassing but we can assure you, we have seen many solid companies with mum doing the books! We understand, but we tell CEOs that equity investors will value the story of their business far more than just the numbers. Once the financial information is assessed, Loewen & Partners’ will go through due diligence in the following areas: financial analysis, market and customer, technical, management, strategic and legal.

If you do not fit our financing criteria, you may be interested in our advisory services. Strategic planning will grow your business to the necessary level and Loewen & Partners has this ability to assist.
