Charles (Chuck) Loewen, a graduate of the University of British Columbia (B.A. Honours Economics) and the Harvard Business School (M.B.A.), has over 45 years experience in investment banking and corporate finance.
In 1970, after 14 years in investment banking with the firm of Pitfield, McKay, Ross & Company in Montreal, New York and Toronto, he founded with partners Loewen, Ondaatje, McCutcheon & Company Limited (LOM), a boutique securities firm.
Chuck was president and CEO of LOM until 1987, during which time LOM was rated as Canada's premier institutional research firm. In 1987 he retired from active management in LOM to pursue opportunities in private financing.
Chuck Loewen is a former governor of the Toronto Stock Exchange, a former director of the Investment Dealers Association of Canada, and has served as a director and senior advisor for numerous private and public companies in a variety of growth industries.
In April 2001, as his advisory activities were expanding, he founded Loewen & Partners to provide corporate finance services to growth companies seeking private equity financing.
